The Y20 South Africa team is pleased to officially welcome South African Youth for International Diplomacy (SAYID) as the Co-Chair of Y20 South Africa, alongside the National Youth Coalition (NYC).
SAYID has played a pivotal role in South Africa’s engagement with the Y20 since 2010, demonstrating unwavering commitment to youth diplomacy and leadership. Over the past 14 years, SAYID has been entrusted with the recruitment and training of the South African delegation to the Y20 Summit, ensuring that South African youth voices are effectively represented on the global stage.
As Co Chair, SAYID will continue its leadership in shaping youth engagement within the G20 process, fostering meaningful policy discussions, and driving South African youth participation in international decision-making.
Additionally, we are excited to bring on board the Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which operates under the South African Chamber of Commerce, as the Co-Secretariat of Y20 South Africa. The Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry will play a vital role in providing logistical, operational, and administrative support to ensure the effective implementation of Y20 South Africa’s initiatives.
We look forward to a strong and impactful collaboration as we prepare for Y20 South Africa 2025.
